Professional Experience
Mr. Martin previously served as an Industrial Hygiene Consultant with the Arizona Division of Occupational Safety and Health (ADOSH) under the OSHA State Plan.
During his tenure with ADOSH, he conducted hundreds of workplace visits throughout Arizona involving general industry and construction operations. His work included comprehensive occupational safety and health evaluations, industrial hygiene sampling, employee training, Safety and Health Management System assessments, and assistance with corrective actions for identified workplace hazards.
Mr. Martin also served as a VPP/SHARP Audit Team Lead and Auditor, conducting evaluations of organizations seeking or maintaining recognition through OSHA cooperative safety programs.
His audit experience included leading VPP assessment teams at major industrial and construction organizations, including Honeywell, Raytheon, MI Windows and Doors, Brasfield & Gorrie, and Nucor Steel.
Mr. Martin has conducted numerous occupational safety and health training programs covering respirable crystalline silica, asbestos, permit-required confined spaces, bloodborne pathogens, hazard communication, industrial hygiene, laser safety, and other workplace safety topics.
At ACT Environmental, Mr. Martin applies his regulatory, industrial hygiene, and safety experience to employee exposure monitoring, OSHA compliance assistance, workplace safety evaluations, employee training, industrial ventilation assessments, and laser safety evaluations.
